Last week Felix delivered Debris Booms, manufactured by its partner, Bolina Booms, to Norland Hydropower Plant.
Debris booms are permanently installed for the containment and recovery of floating trash.
Bolina’s debris booms (trash booms) have a unique flush face for laminar deflection of barrels, logs, trees, reeds, duckweeds etc. into a collection area, where the materials can be easily extracted for recycling.
Work boats can also rub along the face of the debris boom scooping up the materials - this avoids the need to slowly 'nibble' at the debris and the risk of damaging the floats as with the conventional debris booms.
